Over 30 years of hands-on racing background, and his custom engines for competition, has competed in NHRA, SCCA, NASCAR, Off Road, and International competition.

Bruce Tucker

Position:

General Manager

 

Experience:

Into fast cars since jr. high. Joined JBA in 2002. Member of the San Diego Roadster Club, Bonneville 200 MPH Club, SCTA, BNI, SCCA, NASA and SAAC. Former disc jockey at KGB-FM and graduate of SDSU and USD School of Law. Responsible for management of JBA Racing and custom tuning late-model Fords (OBD1& OBD2).

 

Currently Owns:

1963 Corvette Coupe (Vintage road race car), 1975 Old Starfire (Land speed car), 1993 Mustang LX (Drag car), 1995 Mustang Cobra (Street and open track car)

 

Wants To Own:

Original 427 Cobra and Ford GT

 

Automotive Accomplishments:

In high school, built a '59 Austin Healy 106 with a 327 SBC, Muncie, 4.88 posi, roll bar, etc. Currently run in NASA's HPDE Group 4 with my street car. Have set numerous records at Bonneville Salt Flats, El Mirage and Muroc Dry Lakes.

Experience:

Restoring Classic Fords for over 15 years. Website and graphic design. Graduated SDSU in 2003.

1967 Mustang Fastback or a 1950 Ford F1 Pick-Up Truck

40-year background in high performance automobile engine building and tuning. First working with J Bittle beginning in 1973, his career has included formal training by GM, Ford, Toyota, and Chrysler, including technical schools. ASE certifications as a Master Machinist and Engine Technician

Aaron Taft

Position:

Performance Engines Master Machinist

 

Experience:

LS and modular Ford tolerance and custom assembly techniques are Aarons specialty, including forced induction and the accompanying expectations associated with 2+ horsepower per CID. ASE certificates sine 1999

Automotive Accomplishments:

A ten-year circle track background, including a driving championship, taught Aaron the critical requirements necessary to finish a race and to qualify well. Currently he has embarked on a new Bonneville project of which he will drive.

32 years experience in welding, custom fabrication and sheet metal. Dirt oval track and drag race chassis set-up. Custom painter and pinstriper.
